Leslie Hyland Rodgers graduated from the Hockaday School in Dallas with honors in music and majored in Vocal Performance at the University of Texas in Austin.  A classically trained lyric coloratura soprano, Leslie enjoys singing a variety of musical styles, including jazz and musical comedy. As an actress, Leslie trained in New York, Paris and Los Angeles and she has worked in theatre, film, television and video. Learn more about Leslie, the Singer/Actress.

In May of 2000, Leslie’s life changed its course when her mother was diagnosed with Stage 3 Cancer.  A life-changing moment inspired Leslie to launch a charity called Symphony of Soul. Eighteen years later, the charity is still thriving. Now, Leslie has started another charitable endeavor, Hyland House. Learn more about Leslie’s charitable endeavors.

Leslie is writing a memoir about the “Symphony of Soul” in her own life, not just the charity itself, but the personal struggles in her childhood that led to her spiritual formation and the founding of Symphony of Soul. Learn more about Leslie the Writer.

Leslie is happily married to Dr. George Rodgers, a cardiologist, the love of her life and the healer of her heart emotionally and spiritually.  Leslie is the proud aunt to her precious niece and nephew, both young adults, and she is the proud stepmother to three wonderful young adult stepchildren.  Leslie and George travel extensively, yet they cherish time with their friends, their family and their church.  They live in Austin and share their home on Lake Austin with their sassy little angel cats.
